We strive to understand our clients’ interests and perspectives, recognising why our translations are needed. We also appreciate how our translators and specialists contribute to those who seek our assistance, as well as the role our services and products play within the client’s business and the value we bring to it.
Since the company’s founding at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, we have learnt to work not only diligently and tirelessly, but also efficiently. We believe that any costs related to translation and localisation must deliver tangible value to our clients’ projects. Our philosophy remains that every client, regardless of the project’s size, deserves focused attention tailored to their specific needs. Our top priority is to clarify each client’s requirements and optimise the solutions we offer.

Adapting to modern challenges, we operate in a hybrid format. Our team is fully equipped to address tasks both online and offline. Despite the growing trend towards remote work, we warmly welcome clients to our Moscow office or are happy to visit them for face-to-face meetings. We believe in-person communication between translators and clients is not a luxury but a foundation for mutual understanding and success. Nonetheless, all matters—including cooperation terms, projects, payments, and interpretation—can be resolved remotely when needed.
Our company’s history began as a centre of industry expertise specialising in legalisation and notarised translations. The founders, experienced and passionate translators themselves, have been involved since the early days of the business. They have guided its development through all stages and continue to shape its strategy while remaining actively engaged in day-to-day operations.
This player-coach approach allows our management team to lead AKM Translations with deep expertise, navigating the worlds of translation, technological advancement, and training. They oversee all aspects of our work, from project management productivity to service quality and the introduction of new technologies in linguistic support for business.
Our employees are actively involved in social initiatives with the Association of Translation Companies of Russia, the Union of Translators of Russia, and the Association of Translator and Interpreter Trainers. They teach at several universities, including our own basic department of technologies and translation automation at the Northern (Arctic) Federal University. We participate actively in industry standardisation and are a significant presence in the translation and localisation sector across Russia and Eastern Europe.
For many years, AKM Translations has been a main sponsor of TranslationRating (https://translationrating.ru/), an informational and analytical platform dedicated to the development of translation services and linguistic technologies in Russia. We also contributed to developing the professional standard “Specialist in the Field of Translation and Localisation,” adopted in 2021.
